Meet the team
The people who work at Carry1st share the vision and values of our community. We’re driven by the idea that the best work is born from diligence, craftsmanship and fun.
Cordel Robbin-Coker is Co-Founder and CEO of Carry1st, the leading mobile games publisher and digital commerce platform for Africa. Prior to founding Carry1st, Cordel spent over a decade as an investor and financier with The Carlyle Group and Morgan Stanley, across the US, Europe, and Africa. He most recently served as Vice President in the $700 million Carlyle Sub-Saharan Africa Fund; and prior to that, served as aide to Carlyle executives Bill Conway and Ed Mathias. Cordel started his career with Morgan Stanley, advising firms on the execution of large-scale mergers & acquisitions and institutional capital raises.
Cordel serves as a board member and Treasurer of the Milton Hershey School, a free K12 boarding school for underprivileged children, and its multi-billion dollar endowment. He is an active angel investor and mentor, with over 20 investments in Africa-focused tech startups . He graduated from Stanford University and originally hails from Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Lucy Hoffman is the Co-Founder and COO of Carry1st, Africa's leading mobile games publisher. Carry1st works with international studios to help them access consumers across Africa leveraging local distribution, embedded payments, and their vibrant community of gamers. Lucy has spent the past decade working with founders to help them realize their vision.
Prior to founding Carry1st, she was Chief of Staff at the African Leadership Academy and Head of Operations at Nexii. She started her career at Morgan Stanley in New York. Lucy graduated from Dartmouth College.

Tinotenda Leslie Mundangepfupfu is the Co-Founder and CTO of Carry1st, Africa's leading mobile games publisher and digital commerce platform. Prior to Carry1st, Tinotenda spent the last decade building and scaling software across the African continent, and has worked in several industries, including Banking and Finance, Digital Publishing, e-Commerce, and Enterprise.
He is originally from Zimbabwe, and moved to South Africa in 2005 to study at the University of Cape Town, where he graduated with qualifications in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.
